Joe Kulakofsky Director of Applications and Product Engineering
Joe Kulakofsky joined Blue Sky Research in April, 2003, bringing over 20 years of engineering and marketing experience in the photonics, telecommunications and fiber optics industries. Kulakofsky is currently responsible for extending Blue Sky Research's laser engineering and manufacturing capabilities, defining and developing products that exceed customer requirements. Prior to Blue Sky Research, Kulakofsky was Director of the Technical Product Support Group at JDS Uniphase, where he handled all aspects of customer applications engineering and technical support. He previously served as manager of Technical Services and Applications Engineering for E-TEK Dynamics, and assisted in taking the company public through an IPO. Additionally, Kulakofsky has held several key marketing and technical positions with AT&T Microelectronics in the United States and Tokyo, Japan.
Kulakofsky holds a Bachelor of Science degree from Cornell University, School of Applied and Engineering Physics.
